Uh, hi, everyone. I guess I must've blacked out for the past few days or something....I don't even remember how I wound up here in Cianwood.

But I need to figure out how to get back to Goldenrod. I left some of my stuff there, including my map, as well as somebody pretty important. I mean, I doubt it'll be that difficult to find my way, but it'd be nice to be pointed in the right direction.

[ He stops walking for a moment, and focuses on something beyond the camera. ]

Oh, give me a minute. That person looks like they might know which way I should go.

[ The feed clicks off for a few minutes, during which Junpei presumably asks for the directions back to Goldenrod.

When the feed eventually turns back on, though, Junpei looks just the littlest bit frazzled. But only a little bit. Really. ]

Apparently, the only way out of here is by ferry or by surfing, so, uh.....guess I'm not going back to Goldenrod?

You can try beating the Cianwood Gym and getting your pokemon to fly back to Goldenrod! [She's assuming that you have the Zephyr badge, of course.]

That's a good idea! I don't think I have any flying types, but I can probably catch one and then see if I can take the Gym Leader.

[ And he is unaware of the importance of the Zephyr badge, so he won't mention that he doesn't have it! ]

How strong are your Pokemon, Mister?

Uh....my starter's in the 60s, I think, and the rest of my team is in the 20 to 40 range.

Uwah... What's your starter, mister?

My starter was a bear cub, but now it's just....a giant bear.

Hm... An Ursaring? Boo... Fighting types are strong against normal types though! And his Pokemon are around that level too...

...Damn. Well, there goes that plan...

I can lend you a flying Pokemon, Mister. As long as you give it back after you get to the place you want to go.

Woah, really? [ Sorry, he was resigning himself to being stuck here; this is a pleasant surprise. ]

[Out pops an Altaria behind Cocona in the screen. It peers curiously at the Pokegear.]

[ Small, slightly awkward wave aimed at the Altaria. Junpei is friendly! ]

[Altaria coos and gives a small nod to Junpei.]

Yeah! This is Yui, right here.

Hey, nice to meet you, Yui. I don't think I've seen a Pokémon like you before.

I haven't seen her in the wild anywhere! She was given to me by a friend.

Oh, that's cool! It's like you've got a special one, then.

... Yeah, she's really special.

So that's why it's more important to give her back, Mister!

Don't worry, I won't steal your Pokémon. That's...not cool.

...And my name is Junpei, so if you ever need to track me down...you can ask for that guy.

Okay! I'm Cocona. You can give me a call when you arrive in Goldenrod! Then you can send your Pokemon back by Pokemon Center transportation system!
